School of Paris is the name for the many artists from abroad who made Paris their home in the early 1900s, when the city led modern art. Picasso came from Spain in 1904, the sculptor Constantin Brancusi from Romania the same year, and Amedeo Modigliani from Italy in 1906. The Second World War ended its best years. Connected places: Paris.
