Spot the two helmeted knights peering over the garden wall at the right, then look back at the shield and sword lying unused on the ground.
In the second scene Armida has carried Rinaldo away to her enchanted garden, where he stares at her, spellbound, while she studies herself in a magic mirror. His sword and shield lie cast aside. At the garden gate on the right his companions Carlo and Ubaldo have arrived to call him back to the crusade.
