Qur’an Leaf in Eastern Kufic Script, Unrecorded Iranian makers
Qur’an Leaf in Eastern Kufic Script, 11th century

Unrecorded Iranian makers

3 works

Not one artist but a group: makers of pages from Iran whose names the Art Institute of Chicago does not record. It dates and places each page, from a Qur’an leaf in Eastern Kufic script of the 11th century to a viper from a book on animals, about 1300, and a Khamsa page painted at Tabriz about 1535.
