Ridolfo Ghirlandaio
1483–1561 · High Renaissance and Mannerism · 1 work
Ridolfo Ghirlandaio was the son of the renowned Florentine painter Domenico Ghirlandaio, and he kept the family workshop going well into the 1500s. He took commissions for decorative work as well as religious paintings and portraits, and his portraits show his study of Leonardo and Raphael in their pyramid-shaped poses and searching light.
