Monet watched Waterloo Bridge from the Savoy Hotel in the morning. Although this canvas is dated 1903, the museum considers it likely to have been begun in 1900. He continued working on the London pictures in Giverny, treating them as an ensemble rather than dispatching each one immediately to his dealer.
