Look at where the red slope meets the dark forest made of hundreds of small marks, and at the streaks of snow that remain near the summit.
Sometimes called Red Fuji, this view gives the whole sheet to the mountain under rows of small white clouds. The Cleveland Museum of Art, which holds another impression, places the scene at the turn from late summer to autumn, when the mountain turns reddish, and notes that in its sheet the grain of the cherry-wood block printed along with the red. It belongs to Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji.
